Hi, and welcome to the Hinton House Interiors blog, thanks for stopping by.

I'm Kerry, Director and Lead Interior Designer of Hinton House Interiors.

I am based in Southampton, Hampshire and live with my husband, Aaron, who is a residential builder, and our two children and elderly cat. We are currently renovating our 'long-term' home. I say long-term, as we love a project and have been known to take on a few different projects within a short amount of time! However, we plan to stay put in this house, building towards our dream of restoring it and turning it into a loved family home. This renovation is a long game, as running two businesses, with small children isn't for the faint-hearted. But we love this house already and cannot wait to turn it into our dream home.

I'm passionate about helping people transform their homes and love the space they are in, which is why I love working as an interior designer.

My priority is to plan and design rooms which wok for you, bringing together style and function, with elements of nature and natural materials to enhance the design and your well-being.

My style is often described as traditional, timeless with a contemporary twist.

I appreciate all design aesthetics and definitely love to bring these into the mix where needed. Although, I appreciate trends, you won't always find them in my designs. I believe interiors should stand the test of time. That's not to say trends don't have a place, because they do, but to me, it's more important that you love the design and space, rather than worrying about if it is 'on-trend'.

After years of managing property renovations, I want to be able to pass on my skills and knowledge to help you get the best out of your home, so I hope my weekly blogs can help you with this.
