Project Pavilion
A five-bedroom family home in Hambledon, designed and furnished throughout by Hinton House Interiors. Warm, homely and made for family life in the South Downs.
Project status: final styling under way, professional photography early 2027.
Nestled in the South Downs village of Hambledon, Pavilion is a five-bedroom, four-bathroom family home that has been fully renovated, extended and designed from top to bottom. For our clients, it was their forever home, and the moment to create something truly lasting.
The Brief
A family with young children and two pets, our clients had settled into the home they planned to stay in for years to come. They were ready to invest in getting it right, and that meant a complete interior design and new furniture throughout. They wanted a home that felt warm, welcoming and genuinely lived in, beautiful enough to love yet practical enough for busy family life.
The Design Approach
We created a warm neutral palette as the backdrop for the whole home, layering in accent colours room by room to give each space its own character while keeping a sense of flow throughout. The result is homely, relaxed and designed to stand up to everyday family life. The design spans every room, from a reworked kitchen and family living spaces to the bathrooms and bedrooms. One of our favourite moments is the new snug, carved out of part of the former dining room to create a cosy, enclosed retreat for the family to gather.
Designing Alongside the Build
Project Pavilion was a design-only project, with the renovation and extension carried out by the clients' own builder. We joined while the build was already under way, so our design had to work in step with it. That included reworking the original kitchen layout and making considered changes to the bathrooms and wider layout mid-build. Projects like this show how much value a designer adds at any stage. With the right input, even a build in progress can be refined into a home that works far better for the people living in it.
What's Next
We're now completing the final styling, with professional photography planned for early 2027. We'll share the finished home here soon.
